Tabita

Tabita Gómez-Rubio is a lecturer of English for business purposes at ESIC. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Philology and a Master’s degree in Secondary School Education, both at the University of Valencia. She has just started the PhD programme in Applied Languages, Literature and Translation at Universitat Jaume I and she is interested in applied linguistics, learning and teaching English as a foreign language and English culture.

She participated in IMAT 2023 – IX International Conference of Applied Innovation, a conference organised by ESIC, where she presented a group project named: ‘ENGLISH FOR BUSINESS PURPOSES AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOFT SKILLS: A COLLABORATIVE TASK-BASED APPROACH’. She has also lived in England for six years, where she started working as a foreign language assistant. After finishing the PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages, she worked as a teacher of Spanish in secondary schools in the county of Kent until 2018.
