Iván José Gil Ejarque is a Predoctoral University Lecturer and Researcher at Universitat Jaume I. His main research area focuses on Applied Linguistics to English Language Teaching, with particular attention to interlanguage pragmatics.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Studies, for which he received the Extraordinary End-of-Degree Award for achieving the highest academic record in his cohort, and earned the specialisation in English Language and Applied Linguistics. During the first semester of his third year, he completed an Erasmus+ mobility stay in Coventry (England), an experience that enriched his linguistic and intercultural competence. He also earned a Master’s Degree in Teacher Training for Compulsory Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training, and Language Teaching, during which he was awarded a University Collaboration Grant.
Regarding his teaching experience, he has worked as a secondary school teacher of English and French at Colegio Concertado Ntra. Sra. de la Consolación (Castellón). Moreover, he has carried out an important role in institutional representation, serving as a National Ambassador of Universitat Jaume I for several years and holding various student representation positions, including Coordinator of the Master’s Degree, Coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degree in English Studies, and Student Representative in all the courses of both programmes. He also took part as a PATU student tutor during his undergraduate studies, providing academic guidance and support to first-year students..
